TPC Weekly Update 7/22

Posted by North Bay Aquatics on Jul 22 2019 at 11:49AM PDT

Hello-

PRACTICE—this is the last week of Summer Swimming—normal practice for the rest of this week except Friday we will all swim together 8-9am. After this week, we break until August 26th (optional pre-season stroke clinic)—then Fall Swimming will start the Tuesday after Labor Day, 9/3. The Fall season goes 9/3-12/20—I’ll alert everyone when online registration is available.

RESL THANKS— A HUGE ‘Thank you!’ to everyone who helped time, marshal, move canopies, help with hospitality, find missing children, take kids to lunch, time some more, make sure kids made races, applied sunscreen, etc. It takes a full team effort to pull off this meet, but it is worth it! Thank you , thank you, thank you!

RESL RECAP— Great job this weekend! We had a lot of swims and almost all of them were inspired. This meet, like our banquet on Thursday, is a great opportunity to see Tuna great and small all working together for the common good. Our team came in 3rd place, but the number on the trophy is certainly not indicative of how I feel about our team—I am so proud of all of our efforts and the results were amazing. At a meet like this, the number of swimmers you bring to the meet greatly impacts the final score—so if we wanted to win this meet next year, we just have to get more people to participate! There were too many highlights to list, but I loved the relays!

FAR WESTERNS— One of the fastest meets in the land starts this Thursday in Moraga. From TPC we have William Canori and Cameron Forbes who have qualified (and Piper Morrell made it this past weekend, just narrowly missing the qualification window!). Good luck Tuna!

ST HELENA MEET— The Fall schedule is still being worked on, but I know we will be attending the St. Helena Meet on September 21,22 and it is up for online sign-ups already! This meet could fill up, so if you know you are interested, go ahead and sign up online
