PRACTICE — normal this week, EXCEPT no practice Thursday pm. (because of the team banquet). Swimmers racing Friday pm. at RESL’s should take Friday morning off as well. We will also take next Monday morning off after the big meet! A reminder that the Summer Season ends 7/26.

TEAM PARTY/BANQUET — at TPC this Thursday (7/18)! Hope to see you all there! a celebration of all things Tuna!

JUNIOR OLYMPICS RECAP — This past weekend we rocked the house in sunny Concord! From TPC we had Kai Makino, McKenzie Kwei, Annabelle Kilgore, Esme Palmer, Fiona Bell, and William Canori! Highlights included Fiona winning a couple races (100 Free and 50 Back) and setting Team Records in 2 different races (400 free 5:28.04 and 200 IM 2:54.43), McKenzie making a Final in the 50 Free at her first JO individual competition, and William making Finals and setting a Team Record (400 free 5:12.79) at the bottom of his age-group (he’s still 9!). Just about every swim was inspired; and, the coaches are extremely proud of our overall performance!

RESL’s HERE WE GO! It’s time to get fired up for our end-of-season hurrah! I think we are ready to rock—just make sure your athletes get good fuel(food) and rest this week. We always have breakout performances at this meet—who will it be this year? YOU! Our team will have responsibilities timing, officiating, marshaling, hospitality, etc. (separate email)—please lend a hand to help support your swimmer’s overall experience—GO TUNA!

• We had a ton of fun and fast swimming at the JO meet this past weekend – lots of personal bests, super fast relays, and finalists! Congrats to all our swimmers and new team record holder in the 100 breast Mia Solomon!
• We will have volunteer duties (timing/marshalling/hospitality) at the RESL meet this weekend – look out for an email from Pere Wait soon about how to sign up to help!
