Andrew D. Morris

Andrew Morris is one of the founders of North Bay Aquatics. He is head coach for the Marin Water Polo Club,a part of North Bay Aquatics. Andrew, a 1994 graduate of UC Davis, has been involved with the sport of water polo for many years in Marin County, Northern California, and on a national level. Locally,he began working with the Marin Water Polo Club in 1989 when it had approximately 20 active members. Since then he has worked with local communities and swim programs to expand that number to over 200. Both the men's and women's programs continue to grow. His women's program has had teams that have placed at all levels in the National Junior Olympics. The two programs foster the youth of Marin to play outside the local club system. Andrew's players have gone on to play in collegiate programs across the country. The Marin Water Polo Club has players who have represented USWP(United States Water Polo) on all levels of the youth,Junior,National,and Olympic teams. Currently Andrew is head water polo coach at Marin Catholic High School having left that same position at Novato High School after eight years with three MCAL Championships and two North Coast Section semi-final appearances to his credit.

He is also the founder of the Northern California Winter League. This past winter ,in the fourth year of existence,there were ninety boys and girls teams participating. The age range was 14 & under to Open teams. Andrew is the assistant coach for Pacific Water Polos boys and girls development area camps. His involvement with Pacific Water Polo includes the job of editor for their newsletter, "The Floating Goal".

Andrew is a well respected member of USWP and has been chosen to coach several national teams including the U.S. Women's Youth Team(gold medal at the 1996 North American Championships), U.S. Women's Junior National Team(bronze at the 1997 Women's Junior World Championship), and the 1999 U.S. Women's Junior National Team that earned a fifth place finish.

Water polo and Andrew Morris are an integral part of North Bay Aquatics. Andrew's philosophy mirrors that of the other aquatic program coaches in the NBA. He is working with them to offer quality programs to athletes so that they can excel in one or more of the aquatic sports.
