NBA Swimmers Excel at NCS and CCS High School Championship Meets

May 19, 2007
The influence of the increasingly powerful North Bay Aquatics team was felt at the recent high school North Coast Section, NCS, and Central Coast Section, CCS, high school championship meets held in May, capping an exciting high school swim season.

Twenty five swimmers from North Bay Aquatics [NBA] represented their high schools at the two championship meets, and helped to raise the level of competition by delivering impressive performances across many events and focusing attention on Marin County as a promising source for swimming talent the greater Bay area. Eleven of these swimmers qualified for finals.

With a heritage dating back to the 1970's and 1980's when Marin high school swimmers were some of the strongest, coaches and swimmers alike are taking notice of the high school swimmers emerging from North Bay Aquatics who finaled at the recent high school championship meets.

"The highest compliment is when seasoned, respected coaches from some of the best club teams in the Bay area took note at NCS and CCS of standout swims by members of the NBA team and passed along their accolades", said proud North Bay Head Coach Ken DeMont. "The commitment and hard work paid off big time with some impressive swims by our talented young group of swimmers."
