North Bay Aquatics 9th Combined Team Points at Junior Nationals

Minneapolis, MN August 4-8, 2008  
North Bay Aquatic men briefly held the meet record for the 400 free relay with a 3:29.87. Subsequent heats broke the record again resulting in the NBA men finishing 3rd overall out of 42 teams. Anthony Perez lead off with a 53.26, and new Junior National A cut, followed by Chris Packer 51.97, Andrew Latimer 52.72 and anchored by John Wright 51.92.

On the women's side the North Bay Aquatic relay results were equally impressive with a 5th place finish out of 40 teams with a 3:42.88, just missing the meet record. Laura Slater lead off with a 58.74, followed by Stephanie Christofferson 58.43, and Sasza Danel-Lohrey 58.49, and anchored by Debortah Roth 57.22.

In individual finals Jon Denton-Schneider came in second in the consolation final of mens 100 breast with a best time of 1:05.17, which placed him 7th overall. In womens 100 back finals Deborah Roth was 22nd with a 1:04.47 and 24th for 50 free 26.87.

Each of the 13 North Bay Aquatic swimmers at Junior Nationals had one or more successful swims. Congratulations!
