TPC Weekly Update 5/6

Posted by North Bay Aquatics on May 06 2019 at 01:41PM PDT

Hello

PRACTICE—Normal this week EXCEPT PICTURE DAY this Wednesday (see below for schedule)!

MAY 4th MEET RECAP—Great job by the Tuna Nation this past Saturday! Inside the giant shark’s mouth (thanks to William Chuang!), we battled Montclair and the Pacific Coast Marlins under beautiful spring skies. Overall, we swam beautifully!—putting into practice all of our hard work. We had young superstars and grizzled veterans all getting valuable racing experience and, most importantly of all, having FUN! Results are attached and published on MeetMobile—ribbons will be in the cabinet by the lifeguard office in a few days. Thanks to all who timed and helped put on what is largely thought of as the “nicest snackbar in America”. Way to go parents and swimmers! Your coaches are very proud!

PICTURE DAY—this Wednesday Gp 1 will start as normal at 3:30-but, get out at 4:10 to get ready for the Group Photo, which will take place at 4:15. After the Group photo, Group 2 will have a normal practice for the remainder of the time until 5:15. Group 3 will still have it’s regularly scheduled 5:15-6:45 practice. I have photography envelopes for those who want to buy individual pictures or the group shot—the photographer is available immediately before and after the Group photo for individual photos. Must have cash/check!

6/2 MONTCLAIR PENTATHLON— Our team was granted special registration priority for this meet, so please sign up ASAP if you plan on going. The way the meet works is that all swimmers swim 5 races. If you need assistance with entry times, please shoot me an email—they do NOT accept No Time entries. Note that the meet is on Sunday, June 2nd. I originally had it listed on Saturday. Email me with any questions!—this is a fun meet, and a great baseline meet for intermediate swimmers!
