Posted by North Bay Aquatics on Oct 08 2019 at 03:45PM PDT

Hello

PRACTICE — Normal this week

CUSTOM CAPS! – Order will be processed this Thursday 10/10—no late orders will be accepted!

MEET SCHEDULE THROUGH FALL

10/19,20 Santa Rosa C/B/A+ — Closed! Good luck Tuna!
10/26 SPOOKY PLUNGE — a great novice meet at the Rafael Racquet Club. Sign-up via Sign-Up Genius
11/2,3 NAPA C/B/A+ — still open!!!
12/6-8 JUNIOR OLYMPICS — in San Jose

SPOOKY PLUNGE — Coming up soon! The Spooky Plunge is a GREAT intro meet for younger/more novice swimmers. There is really nothing to be scared of despite its frightening name. It is many swimmers ‘first’ real swim meet, and is just a small step up from the ‘Junior Meets’ Nice Mike hosts in the South pool. The main difference is that we need to know if you are participating before the actual meet (the bigger the meet, the earlier before the meet that the Meet Directors need notification). If you can get to this meet, it’s a Howling good time! Just RSVP and I’ll sign-you up for appropriate races. Cost is $5 payable at the meet (but you get a Spooky Plunge cap!) If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to send me an email!

SWIMMER OF THE MONTH!— Sloan McInerney and Eli Kim!

Eli Kim is one of the younger swimmers in the big pool, but you wouldn’t know it by his enthusiastic attitude and competitive drive. He swam in the RESL Championships as a 6-year old at the end of the Summer, and continues to thrive in the pool! He always is eager to learn and go FAST! Way to go Eli!

Sloan McInerney has been a rock-star swimmer for years, but she is starting out this Fall on fire! She’s had great attendance throughout the Fall, and she threw down an impressive early season meet in St. Helena—going all best times (including 5 A times!). She’s a super supportive team mate and makes every practice she’s at better for the whole team. Nice job Sloan!
